Anna lost a tooth!

Technically this is the second tooth she's lost, but the first one was pulled by the dentist 2 years ago...  This is the first one that we got to go through all of the looseness stuff with.  It ended up getting pretty comical.  It got more and more loose over the Christmas break.  Then she came home from her first day back at school, and the tooth was literally hanging on by a thread.  It could move in all directions and lay down flat any way she pushed it.  It was actually rather gross to look at, and it was making it challenging for her to eat.  She wouldn't let us pull it, and she wouldn't pull it herself.  She finally decided she wanted Nurse Cindy to pull it.  Anna and the school nurse...  I feel like she goes to her all the time.  Like when PE might be especially physical that day...  The nurse must be extremely sweet  Anna is drawn to people like that.  So, I sent a note to school requesting that Nurse Cindy pull the tooth if she could.  Everything is so weird and PC with the schools now-a-days...it could be totally against the rules.  I had no idea what might happen.

I got a call from Anna when my Mom picked her up.  She was ecstatic!  Apparently Nurse Cindy didn't have to pull it after all.  One of the kids in Anna's class told her she could pull it all by herself, gave her instructions, and Anna did it!  I can't remember for sure, but I'm fairly certain I did not pull any of like the first 6 teeth that I lost.  And I'm honestly relieved I didn't have to pull Anna's.  "/  Blood grosses me out.

I guess she scratched her lip with all of the tooth wiggling that had been going on.

I think another reason she wanted to lose it at school was the cool little case she knew she'd get from the nurse if she did.

It's so funny how happy a kid can get over losing a tooth.  :)
